A 10-minute AI policy checklist for brokers

You don't need a 20-page document to get started. You need a clear, enforceable set of rules your agents can actually follow. Here's a checklist you can implement today.

1. Define approved tools (2 minutes)

List the AI tools your agents are allowed to use. Be specific. "ChatGPT" isn't enough — specify whether it's the free version, Plus, or an enterprise account, since data handling differs.

2. Set the Fair Housing rule (1 minute)

Every AI-generated listing must be reviewed for Fair Housing compliance before publishing. No exceptions. This is your single most important rule.

What happens if an agent violates the policy? A warning? Suspension? Termination? State it now, while things are calm, not after a violation occurs.

AI changes fast. Set a date to review this policy — at least annually, or when you adopt a new tool.
